After the incubation process is done, you can just remove the inner container and put it in the refrigerator. And according to my friend, you can keep it up to 3 weeks if it’s sealed properly. Because there is no need to transfer the yogurt into a separate container, cleaning up afterwards is easy.

The Yogourmet Electric Yogurt Maker uses water to transfer heat from the incubator’s heating element to the inner vessel just like the non-electrical models available in the market. However, because there is a heating element, I find it to be a hybrid since it uses electricity to heat the heating element. Because of the water, heat is distributed more uniformly, making it possible to get the perfect yogurt every time.

It comes with a plastic container which sits inside the chamber, being plastic this container is still a little reactive especially when you expose it to heat, so there may be a chance that the chemicals in the plastic will dissolve into your yogurt, this is a huge downside, they should have made it with a glass container instead.

Among all others, this Yogourmet Multi Electric Yogurt Maker is not automatic, you have to manually prepare the milk by boiling it prior to cooling it, this is tedious and annoying, after it has reached the desired temperature (anything higher than room temperature will do, ideally it should be 43 degrees Celsius) you have to add the starter, stir it and put into the plastic container, add the water needed for the water bath, place the container in and turn it on.

The container provides for easy storage of your left over yogurt, so if you weren’t aiming for having variety and more into quantity this container is just what you need.

A user on Amazon commented that after a year of using this maker it started to collect moisture in the base, where all the electronics are at, this can be a real problem, I may not be an expert on these things but clearly water does not go well with electricity.

The price itself is a little over for a regular yogurt maker, but it does come with complimentary thermometer, yogurt cheese strainer and 2 boxes of yogurt starters, these free gifts sound tempting enough for you to dive head first into this product, but a few buyers wished that this yogurt maker had a built it thermostat, or a few extra features to lessen the work they need to do just to make yogurt.
