Its personal business when making your own yogurt, so it’s best to choose a yogurt maker that fits well with you, here is the Deni 5600 1-Quart Electric Yogurt Maker, it looks fancy with its plastic blue lid and white body, but something about the color and design just makes me want to say made in china.

The cover for the maker is quite impressive, with its blue shine and the fact that it won’t drip water into your jars or onto the outside of the maker, couldn’t find this feature on some other more expensive models that had more jars.

The unit is considerably small at 8 ½ by 6 by 5 inches, and unlike the usual 7 jars they only come with 6 jars.

This jars that come with the maker are 6 ounce glass jars (dishwasher safe), careful not to break them because I doubt there are any replacement jars for sale, and it would be difficult to find glasses or jars small enough to replace them. There are also see through lids to provide safe storage of your already made yogurt.

This Deni 5600 1-Quart Electric Yogurt Maker has an automatic shutoff which turns the machine off after the set amount of time is exceeded, this is very critical for any type of yogurt maker considering the time it takes for milk to turn into yogurt, the unit also emits a beeping sound when it is done, it’s not a pleasant sounding beep neither is it loud, so it’s probably something you won’t notice unless you were having a really bad day and even the slightest annoyance can flip you off.

The product description on Amazon said make up to 2 quarts of yogurt at a time, but I am entirely uncertain how this can be done? If it comes with 6 jars that hold 6 ounces that adds up to 36 ounces which is only 1 quart.

There are some regular downsides to expect with this Deni 5600 1-Quart Electric Yogurt Maker, the glass jars are made with that annoying curve at the neck, the ones you usually find on jam and peanut butter jars, the curves that trap the bits of jam or peanut butter, and is impossible to remove by regular means.

For its price it is a slight gamble, some buyers received a unit that broke after a week, I am unsure if it is due to faulty assembly or poor handling by the buyer, but for a change in your daily yogurt eating habit you may want to invest in something better.
